Graduation Thesis

The thesis focuses on developing a contact angle measurement system applied in the field of chemical research



The thesis focuses on developing a contact angle measurement system applied in the field of chemical research to monitor the contact angle of liquid drops with the surface of the material and, evaluate the hydrophobicity and permeability of the material, then evaluate the properties of the material. Including functions:

  • Automatically measure a large number of samples

  • Real-time measurement of liquids on materials

  • Upload and save data to the software to verify the results

Luckily, my team got the highest score in the presentation graduation of all students in the mechatronics course. I had some contributions in our project:

  • Develop the computer vision algorithms

  • Design and stimulate 3D product on Solidwork software

  • Design user interface system

  • Write a guiding document about the machine for users in the materials lab at CTU HI-TECH BUILDING

We sent to the materials laboratory at CTU HI-TECH BUILDING in December 2022. We hope that this machine will help many students who can solve their problems quickly. Besides that, this machine will use scientific research.



Address: Polymer Material Lab - Can Tho University

Mechanical: CNC machining, Simulation

Sofware: VScode, Python, Altium, Solidworks, UI, UART, STM32

Result: Being utilized in the CTU High-Tech Building's Polymer Material Lab; It could achieve mass manufacturing.


Finally, I have learned how to create commercial product and how to operate my member to finish the project. Honestly, I want to send sincere thanks to Assoc. Prof. Nghiem give me this opportunity to try and grow up. I send thanks to Linh who is my partner in project due to our efforts that we cultivate in student reminiscence.
